Baruch Hashem, during these tough times it is imperative that each of us encourage the other. For how can we stand if we don’t stand united?
Therefore, permit me to share with you a thought I learned from the Frediker Rebbe, whose Yartzeit is this week. And it’s as simple as it is powerful. That in these days, when by G-d’s kindness, we stand at the threshold of redemption, we have the opportunity and are given the ability to strengthen every facet of our spirituality.
We can study Torah, more than ever before. We can do Mitzvos, beyond the minimal requirements. And we can do them in a way that makes them beautiful, b’hidur, because we are so in love with Hashem. Therefore, even our customs are kept scrupulously and with no compromise.
This is how our people fought persecution, tribulation, and agony in generations past and this is how we fight it today. This is how we breathe through the push, even a painful push, that births a better tomorrow - an era of Moshiach.
As the Rebbe writes, “G‑d is demanding that we return to Torah and Mitzvos, that we not hinder the imminent coming of our righteous Moshiach.”
And if G-d demands it, then that means we can do it.
