Baruch Hashem, in the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s first published book, HaYom Yom, he quotes a timeless lesson from his Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, whose whose Yartzeit is this week.
In these days especially, when by G-d’s kindness, we stand at the threshold of redemption, we are given the ability and have the oppurtunity to strengthen every facet of our spirituality.
To study Torah, more than ever before.
To perform Mitzvos, in the most beautiful way, b’hidur, beyond the minimal requirements because we are so in love with Hashem.
And to keep our customs scrupulously, without compromise.
This is how we withstood persecution in generations past and this is how we will be victorious today. This is how we breathe through the push, even a painful push, that births a better tomorrow - an era of Moshiach.
As the Rebbe writes, “G‑d is demanding that we return to Torah and Mitzvos, that we not hinder the imminent coming of our righteous Moshiach.”
And if G-d demands it, then that means we can do it.
