When you're writing a book or creating just about anything, you sometimes have to give up something to make something else work.
I had to give up this picture of my mother and sister.
Well, not exactly as it made it into the book but only in black & white. Originally, I had purposely wanted it to be in color to show the world that the Chassidic community is NOT black&white but colored with beauty, with diversity, with individuality. (Perhaps my naked feet is a little too much individuality for some people but you get what I'm saying...ha ha)
But I had to give it up so that it could be published on Amazon and potentially reach more people.
But YOU can see it the way it's meant to be.
Full of color.
Like life.
